During my recent trip to France I read in the press that President Trump was willing to reconsider the Paris agreement to protect the global environment.

I was in Paris at the time and wanted to show my support of the Paris Climate Accord and the need to protect our world waters, so what better way than to surf the Seine river under the iconic Eiffel Tower?!

Water is life – our world is made of 70% water, only 2.5% of that is fresh water and only 0.065 percent is available for human consumption! As water temperatures warm across the globe it affects the marine plants that provide over 50% of our oxygen.

We all need to come together to protect our world waters, oceans and marine life which provide the food, water and air we humans need to survive – as the Disney Company says, “it’s the circle of life“.

It was freezing cold and exhilarating to be surfing in the Seine at night, I couldn’t believe I had the chance to be on my surfboard in front of the Eiffel Tower!

Paris is a stunningly beautiful city, watching the sun go down and the sparkly lights come on reminded me of the urgent need for the world to join together to protect our freedoms.

Through my Alison’s Adventures film series I aim educate through entertainment, and by “Surfing the Seine” I hope to share the important message that we must come together as a world to prevent mass extinction.

I’m not ready to move to Mars yet, and I’m happy that my plunge into Paris is causing a global ripple effect of change!
